Virginia's 4H congress attend Comm workshop

Sept. 4, 2012 –

On June 26, delegates from Virginia's 4-H Congress attended a workshop entitled Exploring Communication, which was sponsored by the Department of Communication. During the two-hour session, delegates gained information about the communication major and learned about project planning techniques that may be used in their own clubs and projects. The workshop ended with delegates designing and presenting storyboards for an informational video about 4-H Congress.

Virginia 4-H Congress is an annual, statewide event sponsored by the Virginia Cooperative Extension. The four-day event features competitive, team building and educational experiences for outstanding teen and adult leaders from 4-H clubs across the state. This year's Exploring Communication workshop was developed and presented by Derley Aguilar, Yvonnes Chen, Hannah Shinault and Beth Waggenspack.
