The Department of Communication will accept applications for transfer to the communication major beginning October 20 until October 27, 2009 at 4 PM. Transfer application forms are available under the Undergraduate link from the Comm main page and should be delivered to Shanks 119. You will be notified by email about the outcome of your application by January 6, 2010.
To apply for transfer into the COMM major, a student must complete COMM 1014 Introduction to Communication Studies with a minimum grade of "C" and complete two of the following courses: Comm 1016 or 2004; 2044; 2054; 2064; 2084.
To apply as a double major, a student must complete the above requirements and have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
If accepted, you will be required to attend a MANDATORY meeting on Monday, January 18, 2010 at 5:30pm. Failure to attend will result in your acceptance being revoked.
Final paperwork, advising, and force add concerns for the next term will be addressed at this meeting.
Please note that Cinema Studies has moved to the Department of Theater and Cinema Studies.
