| Communication and Media in China – Summer I 2010 |
This study abroad opportunity combines three weeks in China followed by two weeks of online work to complete the courses you take. We will offer three communication courses: COMM 4144 Magazine Writing, COMM 4114 Photojournalism, and a topics course, Communication and Media in China. One unique aspect of the program is that during the three weeks we travel in China, we also will learn some basic conversational Chinese from the staff of the Chinese Language Institute, Guilin, China.
The tentative schedule is to arrive in Guilin, China, via Beijing, on May 22. Classes will begin in Guilin on May 24. In addition to Guilin, we will spend time in Shanghai and Beijing.
There will be an initial interest meeting on Monday, October 12. Specific time and place will be posted later.
